Video

The AZANIA Study, done at Stanford University by Dr. Safyer McKenzie-Sampson, collected the pregnancy and childbirth experiences of African immigrants in California. Together, we developed, scripted, and produced a video that brought to life the personal and firsthand experiences of African immigrant moms in California who participated in the study. The video has been shown at community events sharing these experiences to increase awareness and cultural competence around pregnancy and birth experiences.
