"How are you taking care of yourself during COVID-19?"
COVID-19 Education Video Series for UNCW Center for Healthy Communities in partnership with three North Carolina county health departments
Partnered with UNCW's Center for Healthy Communities and three rural county health departments (Robeson, Colombus, and Bladen) to create and produce a community-informed video series to educate about COVID-19.
Our information-gathering interviews showed community members needed information about COVID prevention measures, in addition to mental health and (mis)information resources that were relevant, representative, and framed within the context of their cultures and communities.
With the mission to reach communities in the three rural North Carolina counties in culturally competent ways, we developed the series, in English and Spanish, and its topics, themes, and tone through community outreach, and interviews and listening sessions across all three counties.
